Great piece! I know I'm not an expert but I think you drew it perfectly, I like all about it, the anatomy, the shading and lighting and the effect on the water.

In some ways i prefer the darker aspect of the original the monster here seems less fearsome too me.
Not sure how long a gap between drawing the original and the new one was but the lighting ,drawing skill and use of colours on this one is a massive improvement.
